The Punjab Safe Cities Authority has embarked on training women from different walks of life on efficient usage of all “Women Safety Android Application” features designed for improving security.
This android application is a popular culture technological extension of a stern PSCA security grid offering surveillance, preemption, and swift emergency response through integrated police and rescue services.
According to the spokesman of the safe city authority, this android app is available at Google play store for download and has been categorically designed whilst keeping in mind the notion of ease and understanding by all the target women with a smart phone and little to moderate android savvy.
A female official of PSCA Ms. Jannat Manzoor convened an initial meeting of select women thriving in various social streams and demonstrated to them in details the proper use of the app features in the backdrop of social issues and heinous crimes, facing women, such as sexual assaults, acid assaults, harassment and misogyny and authority’s countermeasures in-line with the Women Protection Bill.
The women participants felt overwhelmed. The training and awareness session concluded with distribution of certificates amongst the participants who left the occasion with the sense of enhanced security, spokesman claimed.
